I'm healthy! Well.. -ish.
Got my test results back from the doctor.
A1c - 4.8. For a normal human, the low end should be 4, the high end should be 6, for a diabetic managing their diabetes to an acceptable level, it should be under 7. In other words, I'm doing better than the median normal non-diabetic. Go me! It was low enough that the doctor actually said 'I'm almost a little worried.'
Lipids
Total Cholesterol - 146
HDL - 50
Triglycerides - 45
LDL - 87
Non-HDL - 96
TC/HDL Ratio - 2.9
The important one is the LDL, which at 87 is less than the prescribed 100 max, which is good. I'm taking a statin which is helping, obviously, but I'll be taking that for the rest of my life now. I also do not seem to be having liver problems from the statin which is a bonus too.
My sugars have been testing higher than usual lately, so we'll see what my A1c is next go around.
My weight is plateau'ing around 175. I'd like to stay there for a month or two and then try to get the next goal of 170. The bigger goal is to get rid of the fat around my gut. No doctor test for that, tho, just a tape measure or my eyes.
All in all, the running and weight lifting are doing good for me, as is the diet. Hooray!
